A:  Each office has its benefits.  At the Oakland office, I am able to arrange for longer visits to have a more comprehensive, holistic approach.  A first office call in Oakland is usually 60 minutes.  However, I am not billing insurance out of my Oakland office and expect payment at time of service. 

In Berkeley, I am covered by most major health insurance plans.  My appointments are generally 30 minutes.  This is plenty for follow up appointments and acute care, but is often not long enough to fully address long term, chronic problems.  I recommend that if insured patients are able, they come to the Oakland office for their first office call and then transfer care to my Berkeley office.  I recommend that cash patients come to the Oakland location.
