About Kristine

Hi my name is Kristine and I am a 3rd year medical student at the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe, Arizona. I have just started my clinical rotations this past October. I now juggle classes as well as clinic schedules. I am also  an Occupational  therapist . I have worked in the school settings since 2000. I currently still work 1 day a week at Hi Star Center for autistic kids. I truly love this work. In fact, it is a funny story as to how I found Naturopathic Medicine! I was truly content with my job as an OT. One day we were driving around looking at boats and we drove past the school in Tempe. I was very curious as to what Naturopathic medicine was. I researched it online and knew this was the path for me. Naturopathic medicine incorporates all of the things I love- nutrition, botanicals, chinese medicine. The best part was that I only needed to take 2 more chemsitry classes before applying and then complete the 4 year program. Although it can be grueling at times,  I love everything I am learning and am excited to put this into practice. The time is going by quickly and soon I will be graduating and practicing as a ND. I am so excited!
