Knowledge is Power
Motivation is a product of Making Choices through
Knowledge
We seek to foster your Knowledge, Choices and Motivation towards Vitality.
Feel free to call the clinic. The staff can answer your questions and provide guidance towards which type of medicine would be most appropriate for your current condition.
How can I get the most out of my visit?
Ask questions. We want you to understand what‘s going on in your body and mind and what you can do about it.
Be motivated. You need to be motivated to follow Dr. Becker's recommendations in order to improve with naturopathic medicine.
Does insurance cover this type of medicine?
Most people pay out-of-pocket for our care. For this reason, we offer the lowest cost care possible for our patients. In comparison to conventional medical office visits, our visits cost considerably less. Although our services may seem like a considerable expense at first, when you consider your naturopathic medical care as an investment in your health, you perspective changes.
More and more people are paying for their naturopathic medical care with their Flex Plans or Health Savings Accounts. Fortunately, insurance companies are increasingly offering coverage for naturopathic medical services. Many insurance companies, however, are not yet offering coverage.

How it is different |
|
Expect
to fill out health history forms at first visit |
Health
history may be more extensive |
|
Your
appointment will be in a private clinical setting and you may be asked to
wear a gown |
Hopefully
it will feel warm & comfortable for you |
|
I’ll
ask you questions about what brought you in |
I
will listen, and will ask about the whole you. |
|
I
will conduct the appropriate physical exam |
I
may check other seemingly unrelated areas to find the links or clues that
lead to the cause of your complaint |
|
I
may order lab tests |
The
lab tests may be eclectic, and/or we may use lab results from previous visits
you’ve had with other doctors |
|
I
will respect your time constraints |
Yet,
I will spend ample face-to-face time with you |
|
I will be relying on good information & questions from you – you may want to bring a list with you and current supplements |
I
trust your knowledge of yourself |
|
I
may recommend treatment |
I
will use your guidance when devising treatment plans & will try to work
within your comfort zone |
|
I
will provide you with education |
I
will expect you to participate in your own health |
|
I
may ask you to fill out a medical records release form to see lab values,
radiology reports, or charting from other doctor visits |
I
am happy to consult with any other healthcare practitioner you are seeing,
working as a team for you |
|
You
can try to bill your insurance plan |
Payment
is expected as services are rendered whether insurance is billed or not. Most flex plans and HSAs cover
services and supplements recommended |
|
We
will schedule a follow-up appointment |
Because we will be working as partners, the follow-up appointment is crucial. It’s important that you tell me what’s working & what isn’t so we can adjust treatment – I have many tools at my disposal, so we can certainly find something to get you on the right track |
An ounce of prevention is worth more than a pound
of cure.
