Dr. Stephany Porter is a licensed Naturopathic Doctor, (N.D.), who practices as a family care practitioner with a specialty in cancer, sugar imbalances, women’s health and gastroenterology. She is a graduate of Bastyr University in Kenmore, WA, one of four Naturopathic medical schools in the United States. Dr. Porter is a native of Maryland, she left for many years, including practicing in Montana for 6 years and is happy to be back home offering natural medicine to her state of origin.

The use of complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) has exploded over the past decade. So has the sophistication in research concerning the use of botanicals, homeopathy, nutrients, physical modalities, detoxification, diet and lifestyle options in relation to our health. More and more people are choosing the integrative approach for their healthcare. Dr. Porter looks forward to being an integral part of this team and sharing the latest research updates and information concerning how naturopathy is paving new ground.

Education:

Dr. Porter received a Bachelor of Science from Juniata College in Huntingdon, PA. Pre-med courses were taken at University of Maryland and Anne Arundel Community College. She received her Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University in Bothell, Washington.

Philosophy:

Dr. Porter views healing as an active journey she travels with each patient. She is dedicated to the principles of naturopathic medicine and the knowledge that all medicine begins with prevention. In the case of “dis-ease” it is imperative to identify and treat the cause with respect to the whole person.

Dr. Porter is dedicated to providing integrative health care where practitioners collaborate for the benefit of the patient. When the patient is the center of the team and active in every decision, they will receive the best options from all forms of medicine.
